About Me
I came to software engineering by way of physics and computational chemistry — a BSc in Physics, an MSc researching quantum chemical models of nanostructures, and a handful of peer-reviewed papers (one made the cover of a journal) before I started building production web platforms. I'm currently deepening my CS foundations at the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Ioannina — systems architecture, data structures, networks — while building full-stack applications end to end, from the code through to deployment with Docker and Nginx on Linux servers. I'm especially drawn to AI agents and autonomous systems — how you design software that reasons, decides, and acts on its own, safely and within clear boundaries.

EU Project — EEHRxF / Xt-EHR (European Health Data Space)
Full-stack developer — co-developed a platform for governing harmonised EU electronic-health-record requirements: multi-user editing with an audit trail and versioned releases, with a React + TypeScript front-end (TanStack Query, Tailwind CSS) on a FastAPI + PostgreSQL back-end. Built role-based access for the validator and observer roles across database, API and UI, plus requirement comments and account self-service. Also handled deployment: Docker containers and networks on Linux VMs, served through Nginx with SSL.

EU Project — EEHRxF / Xt-EHR (European Health Data Space)
Full-stack developer — designed the Spring Boot / HAPI FHIR API that generates synthetic FHIR R4 patient summaries, for testing health-data systems without real patient data, and led its implementation. Built the Next.js + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS front-end for choosing obligations, structure definitions and output options, and integrated it with the API through Next.js Route Handlers. Also handled deployment: both services in Docker on a shared network on Linux VMs, served through Nginx with SSL.

EU Horizon 2020 Research Project
Full-stack developer — built the front-end (Next.js, React, MUI, React Hook Form) and back-end (NestJS REST API with JWT authentication) for a clinical platform predicting cardiovascular & mental-health risk from patient biomarkers. Designed the relational data model (Prisma ORM) for patients, biomarkers, and prognostic results, with interactive per-patient dashboards. Also handled deployment: Docker containers and networks on Linux VMs, served through Nginx with SSL.

Full-stack developer — built a corporate wellness platform (Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS) with a NestJS back-end and a relational database (Prisma ORM) modeling employees, questionnaires, and per-user FitScore history, plus automated PDF reporting, an HR dashboard, and full internationalization. Front-end developer — built the digital asset library, the real-time 3D scene editor (Next.js, React, Three.js/React Three Fiber, Babylon.js), and the NLP module that parses written scripts into structured scene manifests, for a platform that generates 3D animation using generative AI. Designed and built this site — a bilingual (EN/EL) portfolio on the Next.js App Router with React Server Components, fully statically generated so every page reaches search engines and link previews as complete HTML. Content is typed data kept separate from components, with per-language SEO metadata, a generated Open Graph image and schema.org structured data. The contact form runs through a server action with Zod validation, spam protection and rate limiting on Supabase (Postgres + row-level security), with a separate admin app for the inbox. Deployed on Vercel behind Cloudflare.
